HWG ANNOUNCES NEW SUPPORT FOR ADVANCEMENT OF CHILDREN’S ISSUES AND RIGHTS IN HONG KONG 

 

Hampton, Winter and Glynn is pleased to announce significant new financial support for the advancement of children’s rights in Hong Kong.  Both are part of the firm’s longstanding commitments to the Hong Kong community, furtherance of children’s legal rights and progressive development of family law matters in Hong Kong.

  • The partners have confirmed that they will sponsor the Second Children’s Issues Forum to be held on the 27th and 28th August at the University of Hong Kong.* The Forum brings together leading experts in family law and policy, as well as related professions, to consider important issues relating to the welfare, well-being and safety of Hong Kong children
  • HWG is also making a donation to the Hong Kong Committee on Children’s Rights (HKCCR).  This important body, established as an independent charity in 1995, exists to further and monitor the rights of children living in Hong Kong.

HWG Partner, Winnie Chow explained the decision to support both the Children’s Issues Forum and HKCCR:

*The Second Children’s Issues Forum is jointly organised by:  The Hong Kong Family Law Association, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, The Law Society of Hong Kong, the Faculty of Law at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law.
