Hampton, Winter and Glynn’s attendance at the upcoming 5th LAWASIA Family Law and Children’s Rights Conference

Winnie Chow will speak at the Hague Symposium during the LAWASIA Conference in Sapporo on 3rd July 2014.  This Symposium, presented by the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, will cover the practical aspects of the implementation of the Hague Convention of 25th October 1980 on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.  Winnie will specifically be speaking on the issue of Mirror Orders and how they may facilitate any return orders made in Hague Convention proceedings, and also as a potential preventative measure against any wrongful retention.  Other speakers include Professor Anselmo Reyes, representative from the Hague Conference on private international law Asia Pacific Regional Office, Chief Justice Diana Bryant from Australia, Corrin Ferber from the US State Department, and Alison Shalaby from Reunite of UK, to name a few.
